On April 14th, the CDC suggested halting the J&J vaccine due to 6 reported blood clots. This was a 1/100,000 risk. The J&J vaccine has been un-halted, but the impacted of that announcement continues to haunt the U.S.

Below is the number of vaccinations the U.S. is giving per day. The red line is April 14th.

The fall off afterwards has been steady and step.

While I of course fell terrible for the people affected, the impact on vaccines will likely be far costlier in terms of public health.

Right on schedule, the COVID new case plateau looks like it is ending. Vaccines continue to distributed quickly in the U.S. with now more than 50% having more than 1 dose. I expect cases to begin to decline again just like seen in Israel.
