Today there is a story about how three people in Hawaii have COVID after getting fully vaccinated. This is so not news.
Hawaii has 1.42 million people. As of today, 16.4% of them have both COVID shots. That’s 233,000 people. The vaccine is about 90% efficient. So that means if all were exposed to COVID 23,000 people would STILL GET COVID.
Not only that but they hide the most important part: “n all three cases, the patients did not become severely ill — and it does not appear they transmitted the virus to anyone else, the state Department of Health said.”
They do talk at the bottom part of the article these facts, but no one makes it that far. This is a terrible headline that is only going to encourage people to think the vaccine doesn’t work and not get it.
